Awarded Grants
A+BC awards grants to teachers, students, parents, administrators and support staff to promote positive academic experiences. The goal is to help promote academic pursuits and achievement across all grade levels. Each year between $4,000 to $7,000 in grants are awarded. Grants typically range in size from $100 to $1,200 and usually are between $200 to $500 in size. Please keep in mind that if you have received recent funding from A+BC, your new grant request might not be funded again for several cycles as we try to distribute funds to different staff members across the district. Materials or equipment purchased with grants become the property of MCSD and should remain within the district for use by students.
We Seek to Fund:
- Grants that make a significant impact on a large number of students in a cost-effective way.
- Grants that provide long-term benefits, with lasting effects that extend beyond a one-time use.
- Grants that support innovative ideas, activities, or resources not typically covered by the school district.
- Grants that enhance or supplement the classroom curriculum.
- Grants that are partially funded by other sources (applicable to larger requests).
A+BC does not wish to fund:
- Professional development for individual teachers.
- Annual memberships or dues.
- Subscriptions or licenses.
- Field trips or transportation costs.
- Prizes or rewards for students.
Reviewing Process
Grants will be reviewed three times per year at A+BC Board Meetings held in October (10/21/24), January (1/13/25), and April (4/7/25).
Grants must be received by the following dates to be eligible for review.
Fall Deadline: October 8, 2024
Winter Deadline: December 20, 2024
Spring Deadline: March 24, 2025
